Not just an artist, but a trained interior decorator with a certificate in colour psychology...so I understand your requirements.

It’s time consuming finding a catalogue poster or ready made art that perfectly accentuates your interior design, so why not instead, incorporate your clients décor fabric, match their wallpaper design and mimic the texture of their shaggy rug within original art? You can give them paintings matching the exact same colour as their imported leather lounge and simultaneously extend their rooms theme.
Multiple commissions organised in Brisbane or by long distance happen simply by providing me with paint sprays, swatches or fabrics and other items to help me, to answer your brief. My specialist art freighters will ensure safe delivery.

YOUNG LOUNGE - The interior designer in the case provided me with her own thumbnail idea and I painted it for her. She also came to the studio half way through the project and made slight changes which I of course was delighted to make, in order to help her to achieve her vision and so perfectly match her décor design.
Having studied Interior Decoration (and more recently colour psychology) and with 20 years corporate graphic design and illustration experience, I have a good idea of what designers want and of how particular we can be to reach our goals!

WIND IN THE KITCHEN - t may be a vase, floral arrangement or sculpture that you’ll want an artwork based upon, as seen with “Wind In The Kitchen.” which encourages harmony and theme and can reinforce texture, pattern and form.
If you have an item you would like an artwork based upon, using the form provided in Commission Art That Works For Designers, you can send the photo through with You Send It (or by email), choose a canvas size or specify one, select colour values, advise of room aspect, apply a budget, send a floor plan, whatever you think I need to achieve your piece.

JOSH'S RED GEOMETRIC - Artwork can follow another artist’s style specifically or a trend, as seen in this Mondrian format for a young man’s room. You may like Picasso, Klee, Warhol, Modigliani or art resembling Ken Done. As a designer, you can request such styles and how you would like certain elements handled: adding texture or collage, restricting the colour palette, making it charcoal on canvas or applying iridescence, or I may suggest them to you. Preliminary thumbnail sketches and photos will help you to ascertain choice and direction. There is email, phone, fax and post or webcam to communicate with and private consultations for Brisbane clients.

ROS HINES DESIGNS - Having studied Interior Decoration I know the importance of lining objects, like canvases, up with furniture and elements of a room, and this work clearly shows that paying attention to detail pays off, so you and I will choose canvas sizes carefully. As a designer you can ask me to mimic textures, creating a soft, relaxed feel; and I will certainly try to do this for you.
I like images that tell a story, adding feeling to a space; not just good colour and shape matching, but so the emotions are satisfied too. If you have a room that requires a peaceful ambience, but doesn’t have it, work with me to assist the imagination into thinking it is there!

MOROCCAN MOTHERS ROOM - You all know, I am sure, that changes to ugly little rooms with horrible colour schemes can be made easy with art and a lick of paint. With small budgets and no space for furniture, panels of art can fill wall space, add style, atmosphere and even texture. It’s the way to go!
For her shopping centre client, designer Regina Rowlinson and I created a Moroccan Mothers Room. It isn’t hard to create a far away place that appeals for parents and children alike. We both made making use of a bad situation by capitalising on it with instantaneous accolades from the mothers!
