Isn't the world an amazing place? A designer friend of Sharron's met Barry Eagles in his city cafe, and got to chatting about art. Barrie's daughter Ashleigh Kate, wanted a portrait done and Sharron got the job. Everything was done by email, never meeting the client.
Ashleigh and Barry simply sent through JPEGs of Ashleigh's partner who loves his tank work in the army. We chose a size, drafted it, emailed a draft proof, got approval and then painted away. A half way image was emailed to make sure they loved the style and then it was completed and freight to Farrar in the Northern Territory was organised.
Ashleigh had emailed a photo of furniture that was being transferred to the couples new unit and so we used colours to match. Life is that easy!
What did Ashleigh say of her artwork, "It looks amazing and he loves it. We are thinking of getting more done for him so we will have a totel of 3 as a collection of were he has been on his deployments. I am sure when his mates see it they may want one done too! Decor Tips - if you are moving
- Clean out the junk! Clutter is bad Feng Shui and makes you feel like the work is never done.
- Before you move, get floor plans of your new home. Measure your furniture's width, height and depth. Calculate the measurements down to a 1:100 measurement and apply them to your plan to find where your furniture fits in each room. This saves a huge amount of shifting things about!
- Look at the colour palette of your new home and decide if your existing furniture and accessories match.
- Sell, give to charity or paint over perhaps, those which don't.
- Move in. Place things according to plan and accessories where they have use, avoiding clutter.
