Liz Irvine adores our tailored art service. Having experienced it at a corporate level for the "Ellerfield Values" and "Ellerfield Embrace" projects, Liz decided she would like Sharron to design an artwork for her lounge and about her husband's new business, The Pool Planner.
Still in initial stages of re-decorating their Tarragindi home, Liz requested an idyllic, tranquil pool of water ...and in a Sharron Tancred style! We drew a thumbnail of the design at the appointment and painted that. Flowers to in a colour to match the decor were researched as were photos resembling the sketch.
To give Liz extra value and a lovely surprise, Sharron painted the piece in Oils. Read her testimonial.
Decor Hints
-
Black and White where possible throughout your home to keep it sophisticated and stylish.
-
Theme is nature – buy natural products where possible i.e stone, timber, rough rocks, slate etc Glass that looks green is also considered natural.
-
Indoor plants in a real green colour, not yellow green or blue green, throughout your home in natural, textured pots.
-
Floors are an orange base, complimentary colour is blue, work with these where ever possible
-
Rug in textured blue for living area. Make sure it doesn’t sit under any furniture as they tend to buckle.
-
Scatter cushions starting with new blue and white stripe covers for the bay window and then same fabric with other geometric, gloss, plain mat and floral cushions predominately in blue with touches of blue green, blue violet and orange. Use your colour wheel against fabrics to check if a colour is i.e blue green or green.
-
Water fountain - for the front entry way and / or rear deck (think water and rainbows)
-
Look for lighting that carry the rainbow effect in a modern chandelier which would look stunning hanging from your tall ceiling and suit the art deco design there. (Beacon Lighting at Carseldine have these)
