For a 3 year old, little Keira could follow Sharron's instructions remarkably well. Mum Christine, decided her favourite flower Fuchsia, drooping over water and painted with Keira, would make her heart flutter. And didn't Keira love, love, love to paint! She was voracious!
Keira had BIG fun, at one point squishing the paint with wet sponges, learning how to use giant, then tiny brushes and then zooming through the paint with a toy trucks, happily munching an apple.
Her work is highly evident throughout the artwork giving her parents a snapshot of Keira's active little life at 3 years old. Gorgeous.
Designed to fit over a 2 seater couch, this artwork reflects light as it is painted with heaps of iridescent medium which looks like pearl tinted with colour. It shimmers and softens - Keira and Christine loved it!
Decor Hints
- To size art to a couch, you can measure it the full width or half way between the 2 outer cushions. Allow 10-20 cm above the couch and measure up to a eye line mark like the top of the window or door.
- Large works which are very dark hanging over a bed or couch will appear to want to come forward at you. Choose lighter works for larger sizes.
- You can have large artworks in small rooms if the arts colour is light.
- Bright hot colours like Red, will advance and attract the eye. Use it sparingly if a restful environment is required, or just as little "sparks" for a touch of excitement.
- Mediums like mirrors, iridescent, pearl and metallic etc, will all reflect light and
add a touch of glamour to your space - good choices for living rooms.
